Sethani Ghat, Narmadapuram
Sethani Ghat is a 19th century structure on the banks of the Narmada River in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is one of the largest ghats in India. The ghat comes alive during the Narmada Jayanti celebrations when thousands of people gather at the ghat and lamps are floated into the river. The ghat was constructed after a generous contribution by Jankibai Sethani of the Sharma family of Narmadapuram after devotees complained to her about the difficulty in accessing the river, hence the ghat is named after her.
